Attacker sought in Hagerstown stabbing

HAGERSTOWN -- The Hagerstown Police Department is seeking a male who allegedly stabbed a Hagerstown man Friday night on Susan Alley off the 400 block of Jonathan Street in Hagerstown, according to a police department press release.

Police responded to the 400 block of North Potomac Street at 9:23 p.m. for a report of a man bleeding, Sgt. C.F. Woodring said.

The man, an unidentified 24-year-old Hagerstown resident, had been stabbed two times on Susan Alley, Woodring said. The suspect fled the scene after stabbing the man, Woodring said.

The suspect is described as a male who is more than 6 feet tall, Woodring said. He was wearing dark clothing, Woodring said.

The stabbing victim was treated at Washington County Hospital and later released, Woodring said.
