Chewsville Lions Club installs new officers

District governor visits local club for installation

Lions District Gov. Richard Liebno made his official visit to the Chewsville Lions Club Sept. 7 at Bethel United Methodist Church.

While on hand, he installed the following members:

Warren Middlekauff Sr., president; Martha Middlekauff, secretary; Gloria Kitchen, treasurer; Sandy Busey, membership chair; Roy Sisk, tail twister; and board members Pam Lewis and Linda Sisk.

Joining Liebno for the evening were Second Vice District Gov. Paul Cannada, cabinet secretary Liz Eitemiller, cabinet treasurer Kent Eitemiller and region 2 chairman Frank Schaller.

In other club news:

o Club members and guests helped Warren Middlekauff celebrate his 81st birthday.

o The club will hold a fundraiser at Hancock's Canal-Apple Days this weekend. The club will sell food and bottled water.

o The club will hold its annual yard sale and food sale Saturday, Oct. 25, on the lot off Md. 64 near Chewsville.


o The Chewsville Lions sponsor Boy Scout Troop 62, which meets at the Chewsville Community Center on Whitehall Road.
