5 charged after search turns up stolen items

Items linked to burglaries in Clear Spring, Frederick, and Franklin Co.

Five people were charged with burglary and theft after authorities found stolen weapons and other items Thursday during a search of a residence at 16020 Wishard Road in Hagerstown, according to a Washington County Sheriff's Office press release.

On Thursday, members of the Washington County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations Unit and Pennsylvania State Police conducted a search of the home and found stolen firearms, televisions, game systems, jewelry, baseball cards, hunting bows, binoculars and laptop computers, the sheriff's office said.

Washington County Sheriff Douglas Mullendore said Friday that several of the recovered firearms were stolen last month during a burglary on Gruber Road in Clear Spring. Some of the other items in the house, he said, were linked to burglaries in Frederick, Md., and Franklin County, Pa.

Mullendore said the search was conducted "based on some information we recently received."

The following people were charged:

o Kelley Renee Beall, 24, of 16020 Wishard Road, Hagerstown, was charged with first-degree burglary, theft of $1,000 to $10,000 and malicious destruction of property under $500.

o Brian Thomas Feo, 24, of 16020 Wishard Road, Hagerstown, was charged with first-degree burglary, theft of $1,000 to $10,000 and malicious destruction of property under $500.

o Ricardo Feo Jr., 26, of 16020 Wishard Road, Hagerstown, was charged with first-degree burglary, theft of $1,000 to $10,000 and malicious destruction of property under $500.

o Joshua Ray Mullendore, 23, no fixed address, was charged with first-degree burglary, theft of $1,000 to $10,000, malicious destruction of property under $500, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

o Edward Eugene Smith Jr., 27, of 16020 Wishard Road, Hagerstown, was charged with first-degree burglary, theft of $1,000 to $10,000, malicious destruction of property under $500 and felon in possession of handgun.

The Washington County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's assistance to find the owners of some of the stolen property. Anyone with information may call Detective Casey Barnes at 240-313-2885.
