GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Dorothy Lee (Landis) Keplinger, 67, of Greencastle, Pa., formerly of Short Gap, W.Va., died Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2010, at her home, following a 13-year courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her loving family.

Born May 28, 1943, in Gore, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Evers Edgar Landis and Alice Mae (Corbin) Landis Booth. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph E. Keplinger Sr., who passed away Oct. 7, 1989; and one brother, Robert Landis.

Mrs. Keplinger was previously employed at Sacred Heart Hospital. She owned and operated Dottie's Home Health Care, Fort Ashby, W.Va., for 15 years, retiring in 1997.

Surviving are two daughters, Robin E. (Keplinger) Roberson and husband, Adam, Williamsport, Md., and Ronda L. (Keplinger) Wolfe and husband, Daniel, Cresaptown, Md.; one son, Ralph "Rocky" E. Keplinger Jr. and wife, Mary, Wiley Ford, W.Va; six grandchildren, Amanda Robinette, Hannah Roberson, Shaun Miller, Adam Stinebaugh, Dakota Keplinger and Tiffany Keplinger; and two great-grandsons, Aydon Chance Day and Adam Cole Keplinger. She is also survived by two sisters, Edna Mae Lewis, Oldtown, Md., and H. Louise Dom, Littlestown, Pa.; and one brother, Lester Landis, Winchester, Va.


Funeral services will be at Mount Zion Church, Knobley Road, Keyser, W.Va., on Saturday, Sept. 18, at 1 p.m. with Pastor Jerry Eisenhour officiating. Friends will be received at the church one hour before the service, from noon to 1 p.m.

Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park in the Veterans Garden of Honor, Cumberland, Md.
