The Hagerstown Community College English Club is offering a workshop titled, "How to Get Your Fiction Published," Monday, Oct. 4, in the Career Programs Building, beginning at 6 p.m.
The two-part workshop will feature guest speaker Rebecca Coleman, author of "In Stereo Where Available," written under the nom de plume Becky Anderson, and "Desperado City."
Coleman will speak on her experiences with the publishing industry and will discuss the course that aspiring writers need to follow in order to see their fiction published. The lecture portion of the workshop is free.
Participants are also welcome to submit works of fiction for Coleman to review in a one-on-one critique for a $10 fee. Workshop participants can submit up to 3,000 words for their critique. All submissions must be received by Monday, Sept. 27. Payment is due at the time of submission.
