Oct. 8: World War II Weekend, Springfield Farm. "Watch on the Rhine" at 7 p.m.; tickets at the door cost 50 cents. WWII re-enactor and military displays; local memorabilia; veteran and history speakers. Mess tent in pavilion 3.

Oct. 9: World War II Weekend, Springfield Farm. Salute to Soldiers parade, noon. 1940s fashion show with Libby Rocco and Mary King at 2 p.m. Ceremony to honor U.S. Navy Seaman Craig Wibberley and Fireman Patrick Roy, who were killed in a terrorist attack in 2000 while serving on the USS Cole. A Navy brass quintet will perform and Maryland Secretary for Veterans Affairs Edward Chow Jr. will attend. USO dance with the "Jump Alley" Band at 7 p.m.; tickets at the door cost $5.

Oct. 10: World War II Weekend, Springfield Farm. Worship service at the barn at 10:30 a.m. Williamsport Community Band patriotic concert at 3 p.m.

Oct. 11: Williamsport town meeting, Town Hall, 7 p.m.
