Hagerstown Police Department responds to incidents



The Hagerstown Police Department responded to the following incidents, according to spokeswoman Barbara Pickett:

Sept. 10

o A vehicle with expired tags was towed on Marion Street.

o A vehicle was reported keyed in the 200 block of East Antietam Street.

o A vehicle accident involving a bicyclist being struck was reported at The Terrace and Northern Avenue. There were minor injuries.

o Theft of a bicycle was reported in the 1200 block of Pennsylvania Avenue.

o Theft of a wedding ring was reported in the 500 block of Northern Avenue.

o Theft of a cell phone was reported in the 80 block of West Washington Street.

o A missing person was reported in the 300 block of South Mulberry Street.

o A catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 100 block of North Potomac Street.

o A missing person was reported in the 400 block of North Prospect Street.

Sept. 9

o A domestic violence incident was reported in the 1400 block of Kensington Drive.

o A sexual assault was reported in the 1600 block of Woodlands Run.

o Hubcaps were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 1500 block of Kensington Drive.

o Theft of a wallet was reported in the 400 block of Guilford Avenue.

o An assault was reported in the 100 block of Summit Avenue.

o A controlled dangerous substance violation incident was reported in the 100 block of North Potomac Street. A woman was arrested.

o A bad check was reported in the 100 block of North Burhans Boulevard.

o An assault was reported in the 200 block of Fairground Avenue.

o A vehicle accident with property damage was reported at Washington Avenue and Nottingham Road.

o Credit card fraud was reported in the 700 block of Medway Road.

o Theft of an iPod and money was reported in the 700 block of Jefferson Street.

o An attempted theft was reported in the 300 block of North Potomac Street.

o A vehicle accident with property damage was reported in the 1300 block of Marshall Street.

o A 1997 Dodge van was towed in the 800 block of West Washington Street in connection with a suspended driver.

o A missing person was reported in the 700 block of South Potomac Street.

o A homeless man was assaulted in a strong-arm robbery in the square. The victim ran away without his shoes and the suspect then took the victim's shoes.

Sept. 8

o Theft of a television was reported in the 300 block of South Potomac Street.

o An accident involving a moped occurred in the 200 block of North Jonathan Street. A person was injured.

o Theft of a bicycle was reported in the 1000 block of Potomac Avenue.

o A broken window on a vehicle was reported in the 200 block of Bryan Place.

Franklin County Emergency Services report



The following incidents were reported Tuesday by Franklin County (Pa.) Emergency Services:

o At 3:09 p.m., an auto accident with no injuries was reported in the first block of Campus Drive on the Mont Alto Campus of Pennsylvania State University.

o At 3:46 p.m., a brush fire was reported in the 2800 block of Rocky Spring Road in Greene Township.
