Sept. 16: Dry Run Homemakers Club, Clear Spring American Legion Activities Building, noon

Sept. 17, 24 and Oct. 1, 8: Toddler Story Time, Clear Spring Library, 11:30 a.m. This event is geared toward ages 2 to 5.

Oct. 1: Half-day Wii Play, Clear Spring Library. Come pass the rest of a half day of school at Clear Spring Library. Guitar Hero World Tour and the Wii system will be set up in the community room. Games will be rated T and E.

Oct. 2: Veteran's Parade & Memorial Dedication, downtown Clear Spring, 10 a.m. Parade will start at Thompson Towing on Cumberland Street (U.S. 40) and travel to the Clear Spring Park on South Martin Street.

Oct. 3: Freedom, A Picturing America Program, Clear Spring Library, 3 p.m. Folk singer Jennie Avila will share Civil War stories through song and pictures. Registration required. Call 301-842-2730 to register.
