Educators attend Alpha Delta Kappa conference in Tenn.

Nina Wells, Mary Ann Kriner, Patricia Leonard and Bev Kriner, members of Sigma Chapter, recently attended the Alpha Delta Kappa Southeast Regional Conference in Kingsport, Tenn.

Alpha Delta Kappa, an international honorary sorority for women educators, has 18 chapters in Maryland.

Twenty-seven Maryland members attended the conference, along with more than 450 representatives from Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia.

Highlights of the conference included guest speaker Kimberly P. Johnson, advocate of children's literacy and author of children's books; more than 50 leadership/membership/enhancement workshops for members to attend; state breakfasts; and the regional conference banquet.
