Do you need spiritual healing?

RANSON, W.Va. - A lecture on spiritual healing will be held at 10 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 12, at the Holiday Inn Express, 681 Flowing Springs Road. The Church of Joyous Living is sponsoring the event. This will be the second in a series of special lectures. The Rev. Rolnick will cover topics such as:

Why do we get sick?

What is spiritual healing?

What happens during a spiritual healing?

Several spiritual healers will attend. There will be a demonstration of spiritual healing after the lecture. Spiritual healing does not take the place of seeing a physician. It is intended as complimentary to regular, traditional medical care.

Explore the senior center

Washington County Commission on Aging Inc./Area Agency on Aging will hold a senior center open house from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 15, at Senior Center at Girls Inc., 626 Washington Ave., Hagerstown. The open house is open to seniors ages 55 and older.

Attendees will be able to observe classes and meet instructors. The schedule is:

9 to 10 a.m. - Walk away pounds/walk your belly fat

9 a.m. to noon - Computer instruction, second floor

10 to 11 a.m. - Line dancing

10 a.m. to noon - Group piano

10 a.m. to noon - Painting, acrylic and oil

11 a.m. to noon - Aerobics, dance and step

Noon to 1 p.m. - Light refreshments and piano music

12:30 to 2 p.m. - Bead jewelry making

1 to 2 p.m. - Chair yoga and strength training.
