September 10, 2010

CUMBERLAND, Md. -- Three Hagerstown residents were charged with reckless endangerment and possession of an unregistered firearm after an incident in which a shotgun was fired at a house in Allegany County, Md., early Friday, according to the Allegany County Bureau of Police.

No one was injured in the 12:47 a.m. shooting on Braddock Road, Lt. Rodney B. Bell said.

A witness provided police with a description of a car involved in the incident. Cumberland City Police later pulled over a car matching that description on Washington Street and a firearm was found in the car, police alleged.

Charged were Michael Christopher Purnell Jr., 24, of 20 W. Franklin St.; Christopher Sheldon Lee, 21, of 1900 Abbey Lane; and Ericka Antoinette Marshall, 18, of 806 Dewey Ave., all in Hagerstown, according to District Court records. All were still at the Allegany County Detention Center on Friday morning, a detention center officer said.
