Hagerstown Police Department responds to incidents



The Hagerstown Police Department responded to the following incidents, according to spokeswoman Barbara Pickett.

Tuesday

o A theft was reported at Sheetz at 301 W. Washington St.

o A strong-arm robbery was reported in the 400 block of Salem Avenue. A suspect followed the victim and a purse was stolen.

o A second-degree domestic violence assault was reported in the 1000 block of Brinker Drive.

Monday

o A 1997 Ford vehicle with no license plates was towed from the 400 block of South Burhans Boulevard.

o Vehicles were tampered with in the 900 block of Kenwood Drive. A male was arrested.

o A vehicle was tampered with at Western Maryland Hospital Center on Pennsylvania Avenue.

o A burglary was reported at sheds in the 300 block of Mitchell Avenue.

o A wallet was stolen at Aldi on Dual Highway.

o A purse was stolen in the 100 block of Key Street.

o Numerous items were taken from an apartment in a burglary in the 600 block of Oak Hill Avenue.

o A bicycle was stolen in the 900 block of Mulberry Avenue.

Sunday

o A stolen handgun was recovered. The gun was found in New York City.

o A vehicle was towed in the 900 block of Dual Highway.

o A violation of a protective order was reported in the 600 block of West Washington Street. A male was arrested.

o A money order was reported stolen in the 12000 block of Little Elliott Drive. The money order was later cashed.

o A gold and silver Dodge pickup truck was reported stolen in the 600 block of East Wilson Boulevard.

o A domestic violence assault was reported in the 600 block of Hayes Avenue. A male was arrested.

o A hunting bow was stolen during a burglary that was reported in the 600 block of Guilford Avenue.

o A theft from a vehicle was reported in the 1000 block of Noland Drive.

o A vehicle accident occurred at Downsville Pike and Maryland Avenue.

o A vehicle accident occurred at 100 E. Washington St.

o A trespassing and loitering incident occurred in the 300 block of West Washington Street. A male was arrested.

o A failure to obey and second-degree assault incident were reported in the 100 block of East Avenue.

o A domestic violence assault was reported in the 200 block of South Locust Street.

o An assault was reported in the 200 block of South Potomac Street.

Saturday

o A drunk-driving arrest was made in the first block of West Washington Street.

o A controlled dangerous substance was found in the 1700 block of Dual Highway.

o An assault occurred in the 100 block of South Elm Street.

o A disorderly conduct incident occurred in the 100 block of East Franklin Street. An arrest was made.

o A domestic violence assault was reported in the 100 block of East Avenue. A male was arrested.

o Change was reported taken from a register at Chic's Seafood at 300 Summit Ave. during a burglary.

o Damage to property was reported at the Busy Bee Beauty Supply following a burglary at the business at 47 W. Franklin St.

o A hit-and-run accident occurred in the 700 block of Marion Street.

o A theft of copper was reported in the 400 block of Guilford Avenue.

o A burglary was reported in the 1000 block of Noland Drive.

o A malicious destruction of property was reported at the Bargain Mart at 58 E. Antietam St.

o A white and purple 1988 Yamaha 79cc motorcycle was reported stolen in the 1000 block of Glenwood Avenue.

o A theft was reported in the 200 block of Jonathan Street.

o An attended death occurred in the first block of West Side Avenue.

o A pink battery-operated scooter was stolen in the 200 block of North Locust Street.

o A stolen 1991 Toyota Celica with Maryland tags was recovered in the 1000 block of Main Avenue.

o A dog-bite incident was reported in the 1000 block of Carroll Heights Boulevard.

o An assault was reported in the 100 block of Summer Street.

o A theft was reported at an apartment in the 50 block of South Potomac Street.

Friday

o A controlled dangerous substance violation occurred on Garland Groh Boulevard. A male was arrested.

o A domestic violence referral was made in the 400 block of Ridge Avenue.

o A Jensen CD player was stolen from a vehicle in the 1000 block of Security Road.

o A vehicle was towed in the first block of East Antietam Street.

o A vehicle was towed in the 100 block of North Locust Street.

o A theft was reported in the 1600 block of Wesel Boulevard.

o A vehicle accident occurred in the 1200 block of Potomac Avenue.

o A theft of money was reported in the 40 block of Wayside Avenue.

o An assault occurred in the 200 block of North Mulberry Street.

o A vehicle accident occurred in the 1300 block of South Potomac Street.

o Cigarettes and a money order were stolen in the 1000 block of West Washington Street.

o A red and silver Razor scooter was stolen in the 200 block of Fairground Avenue.

o An assault occurred in the 200 block of West Wilson Boulevard.

o A burglary occurred in the 20 block of Wakefield Road.

o A domestic violence referral was made in the 200 block of Summit Avenue.

o A sick/injured person was reported in the 100 block of Summer Street.
