Garrett Hajjar scored the game-winning goal in the second overtime period to lift Hagerstown Community College to the victory over West Virginia University's club team.

Zack Morgan scored on an assist from Michael Reyes for HCC's other goal, while Brian Kukucka had seven saves in the victory. HCC outshot the WVU club team, 23-10.

WOMEN'S GOLF



Grier on winning team

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. -- Alicia Grier, of Hagerstown, tied for ninth at the Jackson University Labor Day Shootout, helping Coastal Carolina win the title in the six-team tournament at TPC at Sawgrass.

Grier shot a 79-39 for the tourney, which was shortened from 36 holes to 27 due to darkness.

Lung 18th at Green Mountain

WAITSFIELD, Vt. -- Tim Lung, 53, of Hagerstown finished 18th out of 67 riders in the men's 50-plus age division at the four-day Green Mountain Stage Race.

Lung, who rides for Antietam Velo Club/Team Hagerstown-Washington County, had a total time of 6 hours, 50 minutes, 8 seconds for the four stages. Dzmitry Buben was the champion in 6:40:11.
