Home-school program moves to new library

September 06, 2010

This year's Fridays at the Library series for home-school students will open on Friday, Sept. 10, in a new location -- Williamsport Memorial Library, 104 E. Potomac St., Williamsport. All Fridays at the Library will be held at this location for the next two years during Washington County Free Library's renovation.

John Miller, interpreter at the South Mountain State Battlefield, will discuss the Civil War in Maryland, and demonstrate the life and uniform of a Civil War soldier.

Two identical, back-to-back programs are held from 1 to 2 p.m. and from 2 to 3 p.m. Students may choose which session to attend.

The Washington County Free Library hosts a series of free programs for home-schoolers "Fridays at the Library" and held on the second Friday of each month during the school year. No registration is required.
