MONT ALTO, Pa. - Penn State Mont Alto Professor Alfred G. Mueller II has been selected for inclusion in the 2010-11 edition of "Who's Who in Education."
Mueller is an associate professor of communication arts and sciences, and the interim assistant director of academic affairs at Mont Alto. A member of the faculty for 11 years, Mueller specializes in rhetorical studies, teaching courses in public speaking, rhetorical theory, and criticism and rhetorical history.
Mueller is the author of "In the Name of God," a study of religion and nationalism in post-Soviet Ukraine, and is writing a rhetorical history of President Dwight D. Eisenhower's involvement in the creation and passage of the Interstate Highway Act of 1956.
He has also served as a Fulbright Scholar in Armenia and as part of a bridging project with Moscow State University through the Ford Foundation. More recently, he served as executive director of the Eastern Communication Association and as co-editor of the Russian communication journal Vestnik.
