U.S. Air Force Airmen of Note to perform Friday at HCC

The Hagerstown Community College Alumni Association will host its final Red, White and Blue Summer Concert on Friday when the U.S. Air Force Airmen of Note take the stage at 6 p.m. at HCC's Alumni Amphitheater.

The group was first created in 1950 in the tradition of Maj. Glenn Miller's Army Air Corps dance band. Today, the group performs a variety of big band and jazz arrangements under the direction of Senior Master Sgt. Joseph Jackson and through the creative innovation of Master Sgt. Alan Baylock, the group's current chief arranger. The group has performed alongside jazz musicians such as Dizzy Gillespie, Sarah Vaughan, Joe Williams and Nancy Williams.

This concert is free and open to the public.
