Mary Louk, a correctional officer II, was named Employee of the Month for September at Maryland Correctional Institution-Hagerstown (MCI-H).

Louk was honored for her outstanding performance in directing procedures to ensure that each MCI-H inmate received an updated identification card. She also took the initiative and responsibility for coordinating events for Ramadan, according to a prepared release.

Volvo Powertrain North America

Randy Manning, a warranty recovery specialist, was named Employee of the Month for July at Volvo Powertrain North America.

Manning manages the EATS BP suppliers and coordinates recovery financial reporting within Volvo Powertrain North America, according to a prepared release. When the department is faced with challenges, he is the go-to guy, according to the release.

Bodyworks Massage Center

Jeffery S. Delauter Sr., RMP, of The Bodyworks Massage Center recently completed a three-day, comprehensive workshop titled "Activated Isolated Stretching: The Mattes Method."


The workshop focused on the application of fascia, muscle and joint-specific stretching. These techniques result in muscle and fascia lengthening, increased flexibility, improved circulation, increased oxygen to the tissue, stronger lymph flow and better overall well-being.

Delauter is a professional member of Associated Bodyworkers and Massage Practitioners. He practices Swedish, deep tissue, myofacial, sports, prenatal, table Thai and hot stone massage.

Vanderau will serve as a legal adviser to all departments within the organization. She will work closely with the general counsel, handling legal and regulatory matters.

Vanderau most recently served as an associate with Mette, Evans & Woodside, practicing primarily banking law for 4 1/2 years.

Vanderau earned a bachelor of arts degree in philosophy from Susquehanna University and holds a Juris Doctor degree from Penn State's Dickinson School of Law.
