Last Man's Club to meet Sept. 25

The Last Man's Club of World War II, Morris Frock American Legion Post 42 in Hagerstown, will hold its 57th annual meeting and memorial service Saturday, Sept. 25, in the dining room at the American Legion home at 405 Northern Ave.

A short memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., followed by a meal.

A business meeting will be held after the meal.

Invitations are in the process of being mailed. Reservation cards are due back by Sept. 17.

Auxiliary to install new officers Sept. 7

Morris Frock American Legion Post 42 Auxiliary will hold its installation dinner on its regular meeting night, Tuesday, Sept. 7, at 6 p.m.

The installer will be Alice Eyler, district president. Department President Patty Lach also plans to attend.

Those to be installed are Marilyn Hembrock, president; Evelyn Meany, vice president; Audrey Spencer, secretary; Betty DeLauter, treasurer; Gloria Bastian, sergeant-at-arms; Dorothy Smith, chaplain; Pauline Baker, Betty Getz and Pam Geist, executive board; and Linda Caudell, junior past president.


The special guests for the evening will be the Gold Star members and the young women who attended Girls State this summer, who will share some of their experiences.
