Hagerstown police respond to incidents



The Hagerstown Police Department responded to the following incidents, according to spokeswoman Barbara Pickett:

Wednesday

o A domestic disturbance was reported in the 1200 block of Garst Court.

o A .22-caliber handgun and jewelry were reported stolen in the 600 block of Maryland Avenue.

o A theft from a vehicle was reported in the 400 block of Carrolton Avenue. An arrest was made.

o A theft of a GPS unit from a vehicle was reported in the 400 block of McDowell Avenue. An arrest was made.

o A red and black Sachs moped was found behind Walmart on Garland Groh Boulevard.

o A sexual assault of a dementia patient was reported at Broadmore Assisted Living at 1175 Professional Court.

o A burglary of a PlayStation was reported in the 70 block of Manor Drive.

o A theft was reported at Buffalo Wild Wings.

o A theft of a 2001 gray Audi four-door sedan was reported in the 12000 block of Cortland Manor. The car had a Pennsylvania registration of GGB-8596.

Tuesday

o A burglary was reported at the 900 block of Pope Avenue.

o A theft was reported in the 900 block of Eldridge Drive.

o Someone filled door locks with glue in the 900 block of Potomac Avenue.

o An attempted breaking and entering was reported in the 300 block of South Cleveland Avenue.

o A domestic assault was reported in the 300 block of North Locust Street.

o A theft of a toy rocking horse was reported in the 600 block of Oak Hill Avenue.

Monday

o Medication was reported stolen in the 600 block of West Church Street.

o A vehicle was reported stolen in the first block of West Antietam Street.

Handgun, other items are stolen in Pa. burglary



WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Washington Township, Pa., police said Wednesday a handgun was stolen during a burglary that occurred between 5 a.m. and 5 p.m. Tuesday in the 14000 block of Harbaugh Church Road.

A video camera and DVDs were stolen as well, police said in a news release.

Man charged with damaging items in Waynesboro



WAYNESBORO, Pa. - A woman told Waynesboro police her boyfriend, identified as Robert Eyler, had damaged things in her apartment in the 400 block of North Church Street Tuesday, police said in a news release.

Eyler, whose age and address were not released, disconnected the phone when the woman was starting to call police and beat it with a hammer, police said.

Eyler was arrested in the parking lot of Turkey Hill and charged with criminal mischief, disorderly conduct and intimidation of witnesses or victims.

He was treated and release from Waynesboro Hospital for injuries police said he sustained during the alleged incident.
