Charles Edward Brewer Jr., 82, of 100 Greenwood Drive, Hagerstown, Md., passed away Saturday, Aug. 28, 2010.
Born Saturday, Dec. 3, 1927, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Charles Edward Brewer Sr. and the late Eva Wolfensberger Brewer.
He was a 1945 graduate of Hagerstown High School and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was a former employee of Fairchild Aircraft, Pangborn Corp. and A.C.F. In 1962, he founded Brewer Associates, from which he eventually retired after many years.
He was a member of BPO Elks 378 and Funkstown American Legion Post 211.
Chuck was an avid golfer, especially enjoying his membership at Beaver Creek Country Club. He was a former member of the Masonic Lodge and the Alsatia Club.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Patricia L. Brewer; one daughter, A. Lynn Drenner of Hagerstown; four sons, Charles E. Brewer III of Hagerstown, Dane E. Brewer of Hagerstown, Tony Valentine of Falling Waters, W.Va., and Tom Valentine of Hagerstown; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
