Franklin County Emergency Services responds to calls

August 31, 2010

The following incidents were reported by Franklin County (Pa.) Emergency Services:

Monday

o At 6:22 p.m., an auto accident was reported on Interstate 81 in Guilford Township.

o At 6:38 p.m., an automatic fire alarm was reported activated at 11302 South Mountain Road in Quincy Township.

o At 6:44 p.m., smoke was reported in a building at 1 Campus Drive on the Penn State Mont Alto campus.

o At 7 p.m., a fuel spill was reported in the first block of Falling Spring Road in Guilford Township.

Tuesday

o At 8:07 a.m., the Chambersburg Fire Department responded to 821 N. Penn Hall Drive for a residential fire alarm sounding. It was caused by food on a stove.

o At 8:36 a.m., the Chambersburg Fire Department responded to 420 S. Second St. for an electrical odor. The cause was determined to be a ceiling fan malfunction.

o At 1:02 p.m., the Greencastle Fire Department responded to 12719 Williamsport Pike for a small brush fire.
