Greetings, neighbors

I trust you are all back in to a routine for fall by now. The best part: It's football season. The BHS Warriors kickoff the season Friday at home at 7 p.m.

Town festival on the horizon

Also, right around the corner is Boonesborough Days. Plan now to get your Christmas shopping started Saturday, Sept. 11, and Sunday, Sept. 12, at Shafer Park.

You can park at Trinity Lutheran Church and make a donation to the youth group in the process.

Indoor yard sale planned at church

Trinity Reformed UCC, at 33 Potomac St. in Boonsboro, will hold an indoor yard sale Friday and Saturday, Sept. 10 and 11, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Items such as Christmas decorations, books and dishes will be offered. In addition, cuttery, church cookbooks, birdhouses, birdfeeders and yard decorations will be sold. Spaces are available to rent for $10 per day.

For more information, call 301-432-2247 (please leave your name, message and phone number).

Class of 1955 to hold reunion

The Boonsboro High School class of 1955 will hold a luncheon to celebrate its 55-year reunion Wednesday, Sept. 15, at noon at Western Sizzlin' steak house on York Road in Halfway.

The back room will be reserved for the class. The price of the meal will be the classmate's responsibility.

Attendees will go through the line and make selections from steaks, seafood, salad bar, potato bar, etc.

Invitations have been mailed to all classmates that the reunion committee has addresses for. If you didn't receive one and would like to attend, call Genetta at 301-223-6067 or Eldon at 301-432-6393 by Sept. 1.
