New podiatrist joins War Memorial Hospital
BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. -War Memorial Hospital announces the arrival of podiatrist Dr. Matthew A. Polk.
He has joined the staff of surgical services of War Memorial Hospital and will see patients in the office and perform surgeries at War Memorial Hospital.
Polk specializes in the medical and surgical diagnosis and treatment of diseases, injuries and deformities of the foot and ankle. His special interests include foot and ankle surgery, heel pain, orthotics, sprains, fractures, arthritis, diabetic exams and wounds, and pediatric podiatry.
Polk received his doctorate of podiatric medicine degree from the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University of Health Sciences in North Chicago, Ill. He completed his residency at North Chicago Veterans Administration and St. Joseph Hospital in Chicago.
