Lynn A. Heinbaugh, 71, of Williamsport, Md., died Aug. 23, 2010, at Washington County Hospital, Hagerstown, Md.

Born Dec. 7, 1938, in Mercersburg, Pa., he was a son of the late John and Hazel Trumpower Heinbaugh.

Lynn was a graduate of James Buchanan High School, Mercersburg, and attended Gettysburg College. He began his work career in 1964 with Potomac Edison (now known as Allegheny Power) and retired in 1996 from Allegheny Power Co. after 32 years and eight months of service.

He was a lifelong member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Mercersburg, where he was a former choir member and council member. He was a member of Gettysburg College Chapter of Theta Chi fraternity. Lynn was an active Boy Scout as a youth and belonged to Troop 28 of Mercersburg; as an adult, he was a den leader for Pack 17 of Williamsport.


Surviving family include his wife, Siri H. Brown Heinbaugh, whom he married May 25, 1985; a daughter, Krystle L. Heinbaugh, and a son, Kristopher L. Heinbaugh, both of Williamsport; and a sister, Janice H. (Mrs. Henry) Steiger of Mercersburg.

Lynn was preceded in death by a brother, Clair Heinbaugh.

Funeral services will be at Lininger-Fries Funeral Home Inc., Mercersburg, at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 28, 2010, with the Rev. Karina Ramins officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Mercersburg.

Viewing hours are from 9 until 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
