Driver, 17, hurt in crash

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - A St. Thomas, Pa., man was taken to Chambersburg Hospital last week after the vehicle he was driving left the road, rolled over, went airborne and flipped over several times, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

Giovanni D. Desantis, 17, was driving a 1999 Discovery east on Grapevine Road, east of St. Thomas Williamson Road, shortly after 8 p.m. Wednesday when the accident occurred, police said. The area is southeast of St. Thomas and southwest of Chambersburg.

Desantis was wearing a lap and shoulder belt, police said.

A spokeswoman at Chambersburg Hospital said Sunday that she could not find any record of Desantis at the hospital. His condition also was not available from state police.
