A Baltimore woman died Sunday after a two-vehicle crash earlier that day on Interstate 70 in Frederick County, Maryland State Police said.

Barbara Tarver, 61, died after being flown from the scene to R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, according to a state police press release.

The driver of the vehicle in which Tarver was riding, Terrance Goode, 51, of Glen Burnie, Md., also was flown to Shock Trauma. He was listed in critical condition Monday afternoon, a hospital spokeswoman said.

An investigation revealed that Goode was driving a Nissan Altima east on I-70 at about 2:15 a.m. Sunday when the vehicle collided with a Volkswagen Jetta driven by Ashley Gilbert, 24, of Monrovia, Md.
