U.S. Army Jazz Band Ambassadors to play Tuesday at HCC

The Hagerstown Community College Alumni Association will host the U.S. Army Jazz Ambassadors as part of its annual Red, White and Blue Summer Concert Series on Tuesday at 6 p.m. in HCC's Alumni Amphitheater.

The group first formed in 1969.

A 19-member ensemble, the group travels throughout the United States and abroad performing a variety of big-band music, including swing, bebop, contemporary jazz, Latin, standards, popular music, Dixieland tunes and patriotic favorites.

The band is known for its soloists and often arranges custom compositions to highlight its broad musical range.

The concert is free and open to the public.
