ROUZERVILLE, Pa. - Bob Backer of Blondie's in Rouzerville, Pa., presented a check for $1,000 to Debbie DeWees, executive director of the Antietam Humane Society.

The money was accumulated during two motorcycle events sponsored by Blondie's.

The first event was the fifth annual Ride from the Wall.

Motorcyclist gathered at Blondie's after returning from their annual ride to the Vietnam Memorial for a hog feed presented by Backer and his staff.

The second event was the second annual Spring Bike Show attended by several hundred motorcyclists and spectators.

Backer presented the money in memory of "Duke," a dalmatian.
