Washington County deputies respond to calls

The Washington County Sheriff's Office responded to the following incidents, according to Lt. Mark Knight:


o Cash was reported stolen from West Potomac Street in Williamsport.

o A vehicle was damaged with a rock in the 18000 block of Norman Drive.

o A rock was thrown through a window of a vehicle and a wallet was stolen along Sandy Hook Road.


o Several buildings and cars at Prime Outlets were shot with paintballs.

o A vehicle was shot with paintballs and a window was broken on North Westside Avenue in Funkstown.

o Damage was reported to the overlook at Pen Mar Park. Flower pots also were broken.

o A theft of toys, towels and furniture was reported in the 17900 block of Garden Lane.


Woman's purse taken from inside portable toilet

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - A purse was taken last Friday from inside a portable toilet at 1501 Criders Church Road, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

The purse was taken between 6:15 and 6:30 p.m. after a 64-year-old Chambersburg woman mistakenly left the purse in the toilet, troopers said.
