The Trovingers

Richard and Joyce Trovinger of Hagerstown celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary with their family and friends, with a dinner at the home of their son, Gary, and his wife, Brenda.

The couple were married July 21, 1945, in London.

Mrs. Trovinger, the former Joyce Miller, is the daughter of the late Frederick and Ellen Miller.

Mr. Trovinger served in the U.S. Army during World War II, and was stationed in England. He retired from the Hagerstown Fire Department after 31 years of service.

They have two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

The Boyds

Jane and Mike Boyd celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with their family on Aug. 13, 2010.

Janie Priestley and Mike Boyd met in high school in Sharon Hill, Pa., where they graduated in 1956. Both graduated from the University of Delaware. They started their family in 1961 and moved to Hagerstown in 1968.


On behalf of the people whose lives they touched, their children, Tracy, Jill and Steve would like to thank them for being the wonderful parents and people they are.

The Stones

The Rev. Robert and Joy (Martin) Stone of Mercersburg, Pa., will celebrate their 50th anniversary Aug. 21, 2010. An open house for the couple will be from 2 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 22, at Clopper's Grove Fellowship Hall, 13505 Blair's Valley Road, Clear Spring.

Pastor Stone serves the Blair's Valley First Church of God in Clear Spring. He has been in the pastorate for 54 years.

Mrs. Stone is a retired school teacher.

They were married Aug. 21, 1960, at the Green Mound Church of God in Wayland, Iowa.

The Stones have six children and 15 grandchildren.
