Anna Blanche Crampton, 95, of 18 Brightwood Drive, Hagerstown, Md., died Friday, Aug. 13, 2010, at her home.

Born April 4, 1915, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Cyrus McLain and Anna Mae Kennedy Davis.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Howell Crampton.

She was a member of Christ's Reformed Church.

She was a member of the Lady Elks.

She had been employed with Fairchild Aircraft during World War II, Hagerstown Shoe Co. and was an Avon representative for 20 years.

She is survived by five grandchildren, Arthur W. Crampton Jr., Jeffery N. Crampton, Paul N. Crampton Jr., Kendra Forcino and Thomas A. Crampton; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Paul N. Crampton Sr. and Arthur W. Crampton Sr., and 13 brothers and sisters.


Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd. The Rev. Gregg R. Meserole will officiate. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery in Sharpsburg, Md.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 7 to 9 p.m.
