THOMPSON'S STATION, Tenn. - Eleanor Izetta Swauger, 88, of Thompson's Station, Tenn., died Sunday, Aug. 8, 2010, in Franklin, Tenn.

Born Aug. 17, 1922, in Hazelton, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Webster Clay and Millie Mae (Livengood) Herring.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph D. Swauger, April 20, 1977.

Mrs. Swauger was retired as a housekeeping supervisor at Victor Cullen Center, Sabillasville, Md., and was a member of the Church of the Brethren.

She is survived by one son, Lane W. Swauger, and wife Jeannie, Thompson's Station; one daughter, Rebecca Moore, and husband Thomas, Fuquay-Varina, N.C.; five grandchildren, Ethan Moore, Shannon Moore, David Swauger, Sunsarae Swauger and Racquel Swauger; and two great-grandsons, Jacob and Henry Swauger.

Friends were received at Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 943 Second Ave., Friendsville, Md., on Wednesday. Services will be conducted at the funeral home Thursday, Aug. 12, 2010, at 1 p.m. Interment will be in Grantsville Cemetery, Grantsville, Md.
