7-Eleven store on Salem Avenue robbed at gunpoint

Hagerstown police are investigating an armed robbery Wednesday morning at the 7-Eleven convenience store at 802 Salem Ave.

The robbery was reported at about 3:25 a.m., police said in a news release.

A man entered the store, produced a handgun and took an undisclosed amount of money from the cash register before fleeing the scene, police said.

The man was about 20 to 25 years old and was wearing a black shirt and blue pants, according to the release.
