A malfunction in a breaker in a substation along Frederick Street resulted in about 2,500 people being without power for about 30 minutes Tuesday morning, according to Michael Spiker, director of utilities for the City of Hagerstown.
Power was restored at about 10:50 a.m., Spiker said.
The outage was experienced south of Memorial Boulevard between Frederick Street and Maryland Avenue, Hagerstown Police Sgt. Jim Robison said.
Robison said police and fire police units were in the area directing traffic at stoplights.
