U.S. Air Force Concert Band to perform at HCC Aug. 20

The Hagerstown Community College Alumni Association will host the U.S. Air Force Concert Band as part of its annual Red, White and Blue Concert Series Friday, Aug. 20, at 6 p.m., in HCC's Alumni Amphitheater.

The band is the largest symphonic wind ensemble in the U.S. Air Force Band. The band presents more than 100 concerts annually and performs a variety of music from light classics, popular favorites, and instrumental features, to classical transcriptions and original works.

The band performs regularly for the public in the greater Washington, D.C., area and on biannual community relations tours throughout the U.S.

At the Aug. 20 performance, the band will be joined by members of the U.S. Air Force Singing Sergeants, which is is comprised entirely of sergeants.


The concert is free and open to the public.
