Town water customers will be allowed to hunt water system property



CLEAR SPRING --Hunting will be allowed on the town's water system property this year, Clear Spring Town Council members said Monday night.

Hunting on the property will be open to the town's water customers, Vice Mayor Steven L. Blickenstaff said.

Each hunter must have a valid hunting license and hunters must get approval through town hall, Blickenstaff said.

$2,000 approved for Autumnpicking Celebration at Plumb Grove



CLEAR SPRING -- Clear Spring Town Council members on Monday night approved $2,000 for an Autumnpicking Celebration on Oct. 2 at Plumb Grove.

The Clear Spring Historical Society had requested $3,000 from the hotel/motel fund for the event, council members said.

The celebration is a free community event following the Veteran's Day celebration.

Garden Club to be allowed to display scarecrows



CLEAR SPRING -- Clear Spring Town Council members on Monday night approved a request to display scarecrows in town again this year.

The request was made by the Clear Spring Garden Club.
