Theater seeks actors, crew

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. - Full Circle Theater Company is holding auditions today for actors and crew for a theatrical version of James Thurber's "A Thurber Carnival."

Performances are scheduled for Sept. 24 through Oct. 3. A cast of five men and four women will portray close to 50 different characters.

Auditions will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. today and from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 10, at Full Circle Theater Company, 113 S. Princess St.

FSO hosts auditions

FREDERICK, Md. - The Frederick Symphony Orchestra will hold auditions for new members at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 26, at Frederick Community College's Fine Arts Building.

Immediate openings exist for the following positions: violin I and II, viola, cello, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, horn, trombone and percussion.

All positions are volunteer.

Repertoire highlights for the 2010-11 season are Dvork's Symphony No. 7, Schumann's Symphony No. 3 and Shostakovich's Symphony No. 5.
