ARTEMAS, Pa. - LaDonna "Jake" I. Dennison, 61, of Silver Mills Road, Artemas, passed away Thursday, Aug. 5, 2010, at Western Maryland Health System Medical Center, Cumberland, Md.

She was born Oct. 27, 1948, in Artemas, a daughter of the late W. Kelly Elbin and Mabel R. (Clingerman).

On April 21, 1968, in Erie, Pa., she married James T. Dennison. He preceded her in death April 11, 2010.

She is survived by the following family: daughters, Lanette R. Neikirk and significant other, Carl Graybill, Hagerstown, Md., and Misty D., married to James Davis, Hagerstown; two grandchildren, David Matthew Everly, married to Shaynna, and Dylan Andrew Neikirk; one great-granddaughter, Lorelei Elizabeth Everly; and brothers and sisters, Delma Zirkle, Little Orleans, Md., Eugene Elbin, married to Linda, Warfordsburg, Pa., Alverta Papa and significant other, Jack Carbaugh, Nashville, Tenn., LeAnna, married to Donald Potts, Artemas, John Elbin, married to Joan, Artemas, Floyd Elbin, married to Connie, Artemas, Leon Elbin, married to Janet, Artemas, and Warren Elbin, Artemas.


She was preceded in death by four brothers, Dale, Harold, Ralph and Kenneth Elbin.

Mrs. Dennison was of the Christian faith.

Most of her life, she was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing, cooking and crafts.

She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them, especially the grandchildren and her great-granddaughter.

Friends were received at Akers Funeral Home, 299 Raystown Road, Everett, Saturday, Aug. 7, 2010, from 6 to 9 p.m. and will be received today at the church from 1 p.m. until the hour of service.

Funeral service will be today at 2 p.m. at Fairview Christian Church with the Rev. Milton Morris officiating.

Burial will be held at Fairview Cemetery, Artemas.
