Book sale

Summer festival

The sixth annual Summer Festival includes children's games, water park, petting zoo, classic car cruise-in, arts and crafts vendors, magician and bake sale. Civil War encampment

Civil War re-enactors will present the Battle of Wilson's Creek, also known as the Battle of Oak Hills, fought on Aug. 10, 1861. The 2nd South Carolina String Band will perform. Lions Club community fair

A week of carnival rides, concerts, karaoke for cash and more. Activities begin Sunday with a Mercersburg Community Band concert and fireworks. Taste of the Garden

Foods from the garden will include heirloom variety tomatoes, melons, squashes, herbs and more. There will be information on preserving food from the garden.
