MARTINSBURG, W.Va. -- A Big Pool, Md., woman charged with a felony count of animal cruelty is accused of administering a "foreign drug" into her former boyfriend's cat, causing the animal's death, according to Berkeley County Magistrate Court records.

Tiffany Lyn Boyd, of 13002 Lanes Run Road, also was arraigned on one misdemeanor count of destruction of property, according to court records. Berkeley County Magistrate W. Randy Smith in an arraignment hearing on Friday set a $6,000 bond for Boyd who turned herself in, according to the court.

Boyd, 21, is accused of defacing her former boyfriend's collectible video game at his residence while removing belongings from 2118 Delmar Orchard Road on July 19, according to a complaint filed with the court by Berkeley County Sheriff's Department Deputy Sgt. T.M. Snyder.

The game, which was sealed in plastic and unused, was devalued when the woman allegedly opened the plastic seal on the video game's container, according to court records.
