Washington County Sheriff's Department responds to incidents

The Washington County Sheriff's Office responded to the following incidents, according to Lt. Mark Knight:


o An Easy Pass was reported stolen at Yogi Bear Park on Lappans Road.

o Mailboxes were reported damaged in an apartment building in the 10700 block of Brookmeade Circle.

o A bike was reported stolen from a garage in the 11300 block of Greenberry Road.

o Tools were reported stolen in the 21600 block of Lieters Street.

o A mailbox was reported damaged in the 113200 block of Briarcliff Drive.

o Two rings and a necklace were reported stolen during a stay at the Motel 6 on Massey Boulevard.

o Cash was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 13000 block of Maugansville Road.

o A mailbox and a post were reported damaged in the 13200 block of Briarcliff Drive.



o A theft of batteries was reported in the 10300 block of Auto Place.

o A theft of a hydrant valve was reported at Spring Hill Suites on Valley Mall Road.

o Two hats were reported stolen at Lids on Prime Outlets Boulevard.

o A purse and $200 in cash were reported stolen in the 800 block of Medway Road.

o Two hundred dollars worth of copper and a Poulan chain saw were reported stolen in the 12000 block of Longnecker Road.

o A light blue iCarly bicycle was reported stolen on Carriage Hill Drive.

o A stereo and speakers were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 1500 block of Sherman Avenue. The incident caused $300 in damage.

o Graffiti was reported painted on a basketball court in the 13500 block of Elaines Way.

o Water and candy was reported stolen from Sheetz on East Potomac Street.

Incidents reported to Hagerstown police

The following incidents were reported Tuesday by the Hagerstown Police Department:

o A juvenile was arrested on a possession of marijuana charge at Byers Stop-N-Go on Burhans Boulevard.

o Property damage was reported at 330 Vale St.

o Theft from a motor vehicle at 11 W. Baltimore St.

o Burglary reported at 20 Richmond St. Apt. 12.

o Unattended death on South Potomac Street

o Accident at Park Lane and Oak Hill Avenue.

o Theft of white GMC truck from 735 Potomac Ave.

Franklin County emergency calls

The following incidents were reported by Franklin County (Pa.) Emergency Services:


o At 8:52 p.m., the Franklin Fire Department responded to a couch fire outside a residence on Adrenne Lane in Hamilton Township.


o At 7:03 p.m., automatic fire alarm at 300 E. Seminary St., in Mercersburg.

o At 7:18 p.m., motorcycle accident at 1892 Mainsville Road in Southampton Township.

o At 10:10 p.m., motorcycle accident at 13272 Old Route 16 in Washington Township.
