U.S. Navy Sea Chanters to perform at HCC Aug. 19

The Hagerstown Community College Alumni Association will host the U.S. Navy Sea Chanters as part of its annual Red, White and Blue Summer Concert Series on Thursday, Aug. 19, at 6 p.m. in HCC's Alumni Amphitheater.

The group is the official chorus of the U.S. Navy. Under the direction of Senior Chief Musician Georgina L. Todd, the group performs a variety of music, including choral arrangements and Broadway show tunes and travels throughout the nation, often appearing at state and national events. The Sea Chanters are frequent performers at White House events, and have played alongside musicians such as Marian Anderson, Perry Como and Kenny Rogers.

The concert is free and open to the public. The concert series is sponsored by the Hagerstown-Washington County Convention and Visitors Bureau, the Joint Veterans Council, and AMVETS Department Service Foundation Inc.
