Motorcyclist airlifted from scene of Pa. accident

BLUE RIDGE SUMMIT, Pa. -- A motorcycle rider was airifted from the scene of an accident Monday night at 13252 Old Route 16, Washington Township Police said in a news release.

The accident was reported at 10:13 p.m., police said.

A 2007 Suzuki motorcycle operated by Daniel Naugle, 22, of 11326 Old Route 16, Waynesboro, Pa., was traveling east when it missed a curve and the cycle fell onto its side and slid into a guardrail, police said.

Naugle, who was not wearing a helmet, was seriously injured, police said.
