Martinsburg Radiology Associates

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. -- Vivek Padha, MD, a board-certified radiologist, recently joined the staff of Martinsburg Radiology Associates.

Padha recently completed a fellowship in vascular and interventional radiology at Yale-New Haven Hospital in New Haven, Conn. Before that, he was involved in family medicine and served as a major in the U.S. Army Medical Corps.

City Hospital

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. --Joni Murphy, an administrative assistant in the Facilities Department, was named City Hospital's Quality Service Award winner for June.

Murphy is described by co-workers as a "true unsung hero" at City Hospital, according to a hospital press release.

"Joni is a dependable worker who greets all with a smile and positive attitude," said Anthony Zelenka, chief administrative officer at City Hospital. "She is very devoted to the hospital and has a work ethic that personifies the mission and vision of City Hospital."


Total Fitness Specialists Inc.

Tim Rohrer recently joined the personal training staff of Total Fitness Specialists Inc.

Rohrer is a certified personal trainer through World Instructor Training Schools (W.I.T.S). Rohrer served eight years in the U.S. Marine Corps, with six of those years as a fitness and nutrition instructor and five years as a martial arts instructor.

Rohrer will teach Fitness Boot Camp classes and is available to take personal training clients at Anytime Fitness at 11205 John F. Kennedy Drive in Hagerstown.

Dean Patton recently was named district general agent for the Western Maryland and Eastern Panhandle district of Colonial Life & Accident Insurance Co.

Patton is responsible for building a sales team to market the company's products, programs and services in the area.

Patton has 13 years of experience in the insurance and finance industry, having worked most recently for CBIZ Financial Solutions and American Fidelity Assurance Corp.

Patton is a graduate of James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Va., with a degree in communications and marketing.

Patton is a former resident of Hagerstown and lives in Ridgeley, W.Va.


Two local professional truck drivers will compete this week in the National Truck Driving Championships in Columbus, Ohio.

o Chester Masser of Hagerstown, a contractor for FedEx Ground in Hagerstown, will compete in the tank truck class.

Masser has accumulated more than 2.8 million accident-free miles and has been a professional truck driver for 35 years.

o Mike Bennett of Martinsburg, W.Va., a driver for FedEx Freight based in Hagerstown, will compete in the three-axle class.

Bennett has accumulated more than 1.3 million accident-free miles and has been a professional truck driver for 12 years.

Lynnette Potter of RE/MAX Achievers recently received the RE/MAX Hall of Fame Award.

The award honors agents who have earned more than $1 million in commissions during their careers with the company.

Potter has worked in the real estate industry for more than seven years and has extensive experience assisting both buyers and sellers. Her achievements include attaining RE/MAX Platinum Club Awards, President Club Awards and Executive Club Awards.

Gateway Gallery Auction LLC

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. -- Heather R. Fowler of Gateway Gallery Auction LLC has earned her auctioneer's license from the Pennsylvania State Board of Auctioneer Examiners.

Fowler is a 2008 graduate of the Mendenhall School of Auctioneering and has been apprenticing under auctioneer John F. Kohler Jr. for the past two years. She has been an employee of Gateway Gallery Auction since 1998.
