August 01, 2010

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. -- A Chambersburg man has been charged with criminal attempted homicide in the Friday night stabbing of his wife, Chambersburg police said in a news release.

Justin Scott Quick, 27, of 31 New Franklin St., also is charged with aggravated assault and resisting arrest, police said.

His wife, Pennie Quick, was stabilized at Chambersburg Hospital and flown by helicopter to York (Pa.) Hospital, police said.

A York Hospital spokeswoman said she didn't have patient information for Pennie Quick.

Police said they were called to 272 Lincoln Way West at 11 p.m. Friday. Officers said they found Justin Quick holding a knife, while Pennie Quick was "holding her back and bleeding heavily."

She had been stabbed five times, the news release stated.

An additional victim was cut as she tried to help, police said.
