Hagerstown Lioness Club

Thursday, Aug. 5, 6 p.m. social, 6:30 p.m. dinner. Grace United Methodist Church, 712 Church St., Hagerstown. Indoor family picnic with Mardi Gras theme. Donations of canned foods or clothing will be given to local food banks.

Saturday, July 31, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Trinity United Church, 30 W. North St., Waynesboro, Pa. Household items, books, furniture and clothing.

'Fun Raiser'

Sunday, Aug. 1, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Washington County Agricultural Center, Sharpsburg Pike, Hagerstown. Dog show, dog costume contest and agility contest. Car show, music, petting zoo, pony rides, face painting and games. Basket raffles, yard sale, vendors, food. Animals available for adoption. Dogs welcome. Barbecue chicken

Saturday, July 31, 9:30 a.m. until sold out. Funkstown Volunteer Fire Co., Funkstown. Barbecue chicken, pit beef, Italian sausage and ham sandwiches. Meals cost $7 and include half-chicken, ham, or pit-beef sandwich, macaroni salad and baked beans. Italian sausage sandwich meal costs $6.
