Georgia Elizabeth Burnett-Williams, 82, of Hagerstown, Md., passed away, Sunday, July 25, 2010, at Washington County Hospital, Hagerstown.
Born Sunday, Feb. 19, 1928, in Halltown, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late David Ernest Lewis and the late Anna Mary Russ Lewis.
She attended Page Jackson School in Charles Town and North Street School in Hagerstown. She retired from the Cooperative Extension Service in 1990 after 20 years of service as a Nutrition Aide. She was a longtime member of King's Apostle Holiness Church, where she served, during her younger years, in the music department for the senior and youth choirs.
She is survived by four daughters, the Rev. Elaine Lewis and Beverly Snively, both of Hagerstown, Md., Patricia Lloyd of Chantilly, Va., and Sharon Barnes Morgan of Baltimore, Md.; son, Jeffery L. Burnett of Frederick, Md.; 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; three sisters, Genevieve Taylor of Baltimore, Md., Grace Fergus of New York, N.Y., and Sara Swaby of Cheektowaga, NY; and nieces, nephews and cousins.
