July 26, 2010

ZULLINGER, Pa. -- The Waynesboro Historical Society will have between 10,000 and 15,000 books available at its second annual book sale Friday and Saturday, Aug. 6 and 7.

The sale will be held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. both days at the Zullinger Community Center, located on Wharf Road just off Pa. 16 west of Waynesboro.

The sale will feature books on a wide variety of subjects.

"We have acquired a large number of (donated) books for children and youth," organizer Ellen Gsell said.

Also available are Bibles and other religious books, Civil War and other military books, and novels like romance, science fiction and travel. Most paperbacks will be sold for 25 and 50 cents, depending on their size. Hardback books will cost $1. Special books, such as those on local history and the Civil War, will be priced individually.

Gsell is still accepting books for the sale and invites those who plan to buy books to bring donations to the sale on Aug. 6 and 7.
