Concerts continue



The City Park summer concert series featuring local and regional bluegrass performers will continue Saturday at 7 p.m.

The featured performer will be the Patent Pending bluegrass band.

The event is co-sponsored by the Washington County Arts Council, the City of Hagerstown and the Hagerstown-Washington County Convention and Visitors Bureau.

Family movie



A family movie will be shown at Doub's Woods Park on Friday, July 30.

Those attending are asked to enter from Maryland Avenue.

The Washington County Parks, Recreation and Facilities Department will present "The Goonies."

The movie will be shown on a large inflatable screen.

Those attending are asked to bring a lawn chair or blanket.

The event starts at 7:30 p.m. and the movie will air at dark. Admission is free. Picnic coolers will be permitted. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Fashion show



A back-to-school fashion show is planned Saturday, July 31, at Valley Mall.

The latest trends and fashions for the upcoming school year will be on display at the mall food court area starting at 1 p.m.

Family reunion



Members of the Otha J. Churchey family are invited to attend a family reunion Saturday, Aug. 7, starting at noon at Martin L. "Marty" Snook Memorial Park in Halfway.

Those attending are asked to provide a covered dish.

Yard sale



St. Andrews United Methodist Church, at 1020 Maryland Ave. (across from the South End Shopping Center) will host a yard sale Saturday, Aug. 7, from 7 a.m. to noon.
