July 20 to 23 - Washington County Ag Expo at the Washington County Agricultural Education Center, off Sharpsburg Pike, seven miles south of Hagerstown. 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. most days.

July 24 - Rainbarrel Workshop - Learn how to harvest rain and then build and take home your own rainbarrel, 9 to 11 a.m. The workshop costs $35. It will be held at the Franklin County, Pa., Extension's clubhouse/barn. For more information, call Linda Secrist at 717-263-9226, ext. 234.

July 27 - Canning Under Pressure. The workshop costs $10. It will be held at the Ag Heritage Building, 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. For more information, call Mary Ann Oyler at 717-263-9226, ext. 229

o To reach the Washington County Extension office, drive about 7 miles south of Hagerstown from the Interstate 70 exit onto Sharpsburg Pike (Md. 65).

The office is in the Washington County Agricultural Education Center complex.
